Identity theft cases will continue to grow in the years to come. The state of the economy, loss of jobs and homes going into foreclosure will continue to fuel the identity theft epidemic.

Many people that once had credit scores in the 700′s now have scores that are in the 500′s disqualifying them from getting credit card offers and leaving no hope to get a financed car or mortgage.

So what does this mean? Millions of people are turning to identity theft thieves to rebuild their credit by using a method called piggybacking which involves linking to someone else’s credit. Business that sell the stolen information promise that they can raise credit scores to 700 or 800 in no more than six months.

Think about this for a minute;

How many credit card statements do you get each month? Do you check them?
How many bank accounts do you have? Do you check the statements?

Prevent identity theft by making sure all you credit card statements are checked every month because identity theft thieves will test your credit card by making a small charge as little as a penny and if the penny charge goes through the thieves will start to make larger purchases.

Identity theft thieves also use programs with algorithms that create 16 digit numbers until they get a number that works, they will then run a charge that is from penny to $2 making the charge look as if the recipient is a charity.

Identity Theft Thieves will also act as if they are an employee of your bank fraud depart ment and fish for your sensitive information. After they gain your trust by giving you your personal details they will ask for your Social Security number or the security code on your card.

Check your bank and credit card balances often for suspicious transaction. You must also get a good credit protection service to monitor all activities on your credit.

Also and very important get your children’s identity protected, they are extremely vulnerable to identity thieves due to the length of time before their credit will even be used by them. The last thing you need as a parent is for your child’s credit to be destroyed.

18 to 24 year olds are the slowest to detect fraud and are referred to as Millennial’s, Millennial’s were found to be the less likely to monitor accounts regularly and the least group to take advantage of identity theft monitoring programs.

There are many companies that provide services for identity theft protection, but there is only one that has been in the risk management business for 38 years. Only one company that due to their extensive expertise in risk management the Kuwait and American government requested their help to liquidate Sadam Hussein’s assets they also played a huge role in the Enron Trial.

If you became a victim what would you do?
How much time will it take from work to restore your credit and identity?
How much will all this cost?
Can you Afford the hours and money lost from work and the restoration cost?

Protect you and your family now before it’s too late! Don’t procrastinate and live in regret.
